What makes a good logo?

A good logo is appropriate. It is distinctive and memorable, and It needs to be simple (super super simple). The magic is finding the balance between something simple and something distinctive. A logo is identification, and not communication. It is the period at the end of the sentence, And not the sentence itself. A logo is meant to identify you strongly and clearly, and the less it says, the better.
